M|P was hired by Jackson County Schools to perform the Renovation of an existing 3,500 s.f. per-engineered metal building to accommodate a new fabrication lab. The new fab lab included CNC routers, laser cutters, 3-D printers, and classroom space. The building required special air conditioning and ventilation requirements and resulted in the need for 20 tons of new air conditioning. The building also required unique electrical distribution equipment. Significant architectural design elements were needed to renovate the front facade of the building to present the desired updated look for the building but staying under the tight budget requirement.
M | P performed the architectural design, structural design, electrical & mechanical design, as well as the civil design for this project as well as the construction administration services.
