As part of a large interstate expansion project, the City of D’Iberville’s first station was acquitted by the MS. Department of Transportation and left one of the fastest growing City’s on the MS Gulf Coast with no Fire Station. Through some new State Legislation, the City of D’Iberville was able to solicit Design- Build teams to present qualifications and be selected through an interview process. M|P teamed with a local Contractor to the City of D’Iberville for more then 30 years (Southeastern Erectors). The Team of Machado | Patano and Southeastern Erectors was subsequently awarded the project and the new $2.6 million dollar compelx, known as Fire station No. 1 to the City of D’Iberville and will forever be a landmark municipal complex to the City. The Fire Station in approximately 14,000 sq ft. and is a state of the art facility that not only houses approximately 20 fireman, 6 large fire trucks, equipment, etc. but as well allows the D’Iberville Fire Department to conduct their day to day business and serve the citizen’s needs.
